composed from a single electric guitar sample (albeit a chord)
this is effectively a remix of "an ending for the beginning part I". technically, because it retains a smidgeon of the "kick" and "snare" sounds of the original, it breaks the 'one sample per track' rule that is the premise for the "mono" album - not a very auspicious start! but 99% of this is made from the single sample of an electric guitar chord. it was originally recorded for another purpose entirely but it became raw material for my first time sampling on the ASR10 where i accidentally created the 3/4 Gary Glitter rhythm. i then intuitively performed multiple passes of EQ manipulation on three layers each an octave apart (bass, mid and treble). and finally, for this remix, i focused on gating the parts to achieve a choppier rhythm without adding percussion.
